This yellow Camaro Cake, with racing stripes, was created for a Transformers fan celebrating his 5th Birthday! Inspired by the Autobot, Bumblebee it was three layers of Vanilla Buttermilk Cake and Vanilla Buttercream Frosting, topped with fondant. We hope this cake makes his birthday a little sweeter!

Lego Cupcakes
These Baker's Cakes Signature Chocolate Cupcakes (with additional chocolate chips, in case they weren't chocolatey enough), with Blue Vanilla Buttercream, will surely satisfy any Lego Maniac! The candy Lego pieces remind me a bit of sweet tarts! Yum!

Pansy Cupcakes
The minute my super awesome birthday present arrived at my door, I knew I had to make something immediately! I pulled out Martha Stewart's Cupcake book (which, incidentally I thought that I MUST have, bought several months ago, and just now, finally, for the first time used) and flipped through it, while my assistant offered her opinion. We should make Pink Cupcakes, she determined. I'm sure she has only been slightly influenced by the fact that she's now listened to and read Pinkalicious about 49 times since last Thursday. At any rate, we flipped through the book and she forcefully suggested we make the Pansy Cupcakes. (And since she did suggest that I look like Angelina Jolie the other day, who was I to argue with her?) After a batch of botched blobby flowers, I scraped some pansy pansies off the cupcakes and endeavored to try again.
Why do they always look better on the test tries on parchment? In the end, even though I made 1/3 of Martha's recipe (a sure recipe for disaster), in my new much much bigger, more powerful mixer, ironic even to me, the Vanilla Buttermilk Cupcakes tasted pretty delicious!
